DreamBox Learning K-2 Math

DreamBox Learning K-2 Math is a web-based, self-paced, interactive math education program, for young students. It is a subscription-based educational software game that plays directly from the internet with no download. This online program incorporates up to 350 lessons for students, from five – seven.
This program adapts to the student, monitoring not only right and wrong answers, but also the time the student takes for each problem. DreamBox Learning K-2 Math starts with math basics: counting, ordering, and comparing, then moves on to addition and subtraction, and various strategies for mental math. Correct answers are given positive feedback -- "good job!" or "right on!" ring out in the narrator's cheerful voice. Incorrect answers are sometimes followed by a gentle "try again" suggestion; other times by a hint, or finally, "come back and try this again later". Wrong answers or slow answers generate more practice on a given topic while quick, correct answers allow the child to jump ahead. The graphics are cute and appealing to children with pirates, dinosaurs, animals and pixies.
Parents need to know that this is an educational math game that adjusts to your child's math competency as they play. It is played online without requiring a download, so it is available from any computer with a broadband connection. DreamBox Learning K-2 Math is simple to set-up since there is no software to install. You only need to login to the DreamBox website. This game also sends regular updates to parents' email.
I think this is a great way for children to learn, so check out http://www.dreambox.com/ and start dream learning!

STARFALL

I encourage teachers like myself and parents to visit www.starfall.com . This software teaches children to read with phonics. This program is great for preschoolers, first and second year infant students.
Starfall utilises exciting phonics games and online interactive books. Starfall.com started in 2002 and was made possible through the vision of Dr. Stephen Schutz as a free public service and as since then helped to motivate children to read. The lesson plans motivate kindergarten children by creating an atmosphere of fun and enthusiasm, providing opportunities for child-directed instruction, and facilitating the needs of English language learners and struggling readers learning alongside their peers. It includes a lot of ABC animations, animated interactive books and other reading exercises. There are also a lot of downloadable materials such as handouts for classroom use which are also perfect for home schooling.
Starfall is recognized and highly rated by experts. Starfall was the first Internet site to be recognized by Children's Software & New Media Review as the highest rated product in their Early Elementary category, Spring 2004. Parents are very impressed and have left rave reviews, so go on, click the link and explore the world of Starfall.
